Exam time! I never really studied much for final exams in high school. It was usually very studious so when it came to exam time, I didn’t need to study much, just maybe do some review problems to refresh my memory. Well that’s how it was my senior year, when my hard classes were only math and physics. In those technical classes you can get away with just understanding it the first time and then only review for the final. Spanish and biology were different. You actually had to get out those flash cards and remember the stuff again. But now in college I think I have to study! Not even that much though because I only have 2 exams, math and engineering. Engineering was laid out pretty well so our 2 midterms covered everything, and the topics built on top of each other, so the first midterm seems really easy now! Math is different though, each chapter was pretty different. We studied summations and then parametric and polar equations, and now we’re on 3-D vectors! 3-D vectors are so hard. I can’t imagine it at all! And we’ve never been tested on it before and compared to the other topics in class; I’ve never learned anything about it. The last time I did vectors was sophomore year and it was only 2-D it we didn’t do much to it. So I’m kind of nervous about that… and it’s frustrating because by teacher posts reviews and solutions to those, but the solutions are sometimes wrong, I hardly understand the material, but I know it’s wrong. Oh well. I’ll make it through.
Agreed, it was nice just pretending to study for finals in highschool, and now we seriously have to sit down and study for real, sucks!
ReplyDeleteHey Maggie yea studying for high school was easy, but for college its much harder unless you have one for a easy class. College you really have to get into it if its a hard class.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I was in high school. It was such a big adjustment this year when I actually had to study for tests.
ReplyDeleteI was the same way in high school as well. I learned last year as a freshman here that you really can't not study for exams! Even if you just study for a little bit it still helps.
ReplyDeleteI never studied in high school either, i think that may be one of the reasons i had to take a 5 year detour into the Marines before going to college...LOL! but i really hated high school, but i want to be in college, so that makes a big diffrence.
