Blog 63

blog 63-65 pt 1
Oops, forgot to blog yesterday, I’ll just make this a threefer. So I’m home, and I was just working on my ARP. I love being able to just turn around and look at how cute my cat is and pet her whenever I want! Anyway, so I’m doing a lot of work on my paper because I’ve changed my argument now, and I think it’s a good one. It about how people change. In Angel, he changed from wanting Buffy so then deciding that after he actually got Buffy, he actually wants to be a vampire instead. Ideally he would want both, but that won’t ever happen, so he changed from wanting her to wanting to be a vampire. I’m comparing him to people and why do they change, but change is too broad. So after doing some research I decided that Angel changed in his reasoning and his cognitive skills developed. For my real world connection then, I’m comparing Angel’s situation to teenagers. Teenagers are the ones that change the most over time during those years, especially their cognitive development. So I’m saying that Angel changed over time, but he can’t go back to the way before. He’s changed to think and reason differently and he’ll never go back to the other way. But in the episode, they change time! The Oracles allow Angel to go back before he became human and before he could be with Buffy. This time travel allows Angel to receive the closure he needed

  1. I made a mistake on the blog64 since I didn't realize that this is a three-part blog.
