Blog 40
So today was kind of strange. It started when my alarm was set for 8:15 on my phone ( Iphone 3G) and it went off at 7:15, one hour early. This continued for all my other alarms, and I was so confused why my alarm read 8:15, and my phone clock said 7:15 and why the alarm was going off. I kept thinking about daylight savings time and what if I actually was going to miss my class. After my third alarm went off at 7:50 when I didn’t need to be up for another hour, I was quite frustrated, I struggled falling back asleep. I told my friends this, they didn’t believe me. So we, “performed” an experiment. Set one 2 minutes ahead, it didn’t go off. Set one for an hour and two minutes ahead, it DID go off. They were convinced my phone was mess-up. So then I got home and did some research. It seemed like a popular thing that’s been happening to people. They say it’s a little ‘bug’ and some people have been going off an hour late even. So I guess I’m thankful that didn’t happen to me because I had a quiz this morning that was pretty easy so I didn’t want to miss easy points. So I kept reading, and someone said it happened because the alarm setting was set to happen every day verses a one day or ever four or five day occurrence. Like what anyone else would do, immediately I tried it. AND IT WORKED! For some reason, having it set to not every day, works. But still, I’m a little afraid about tomorrow morning waking up in time.

  1. I hate alarm problems. My alarm decided not to go off the one morning when I had a quiz in my 1030 class, and I woke up at 1050. Luckily my teacher gives the quizes at the end of the class period and I was able to finish on time.

  2. Funny that I came across this blog today because while I was looking through my organizer I realized that not this coming Sunday, but the Sunday after, it's the end of daylight savings. Yay for gaining an hour!
