So my boyfriend and I have this plan, to eat at every restaurant on High Street between Lane Avenue and 11th Street. It all started when I realized that swipes really suck. We’re spending (or I am at least) $9.60 on each meal, but each meal costs less than $8, besides traditions. So next quarter, to save some money, I want to pay most of my meals with buckID cash. And then I realized that all the restaurants on High take buckID, so why stick to campus food when I can eat anywhere I want? I know campus food isn’t that bad. I personally love the PAD and Mirror Lake. (I’m not a big fan of Market Place because it’s pretty busy most of the time.) But I know there are good choices. It’s just High street is a lot closer to me (in Taylor Tower) than any of those good places. And when people come to visit me, I can actually suggest a good place to go to that they haven’t been to. Also, High street has a lot of foreign food that I’m especially excited to try. We haven’t been to many places yet, just Donato’s, Noodles and Company, and Canes. I tried Cane’s for the first time tonight. I know it’s an OSU tradition, but I wasn’t that big a fan. The sauce was okay, just really peppery. I wouldn’t be totally against going there, but I wouldn’t suggest it. So our plan is to eat at all the restaurants besides the ones on wheels because that’s just crossing a line.

  1. That sounds like a great plan! I don't eat out a lot so I kind of want to experience the high street quisine. I don't really enjoy the Market Place either, but I do always get a frosted pumpkin coffee (they're amazing).

  3. I think that is a great idea too! I have tried a few places on campus, but I usually go to the union because it is easy. I will not be getting many swipes next quarter for sure!
