So I tried to use the CABS busses last night at 2:30 am because it was late and cold. So I texted osutrip and it said that no times were scheduled. I checked 3 other stops on the route and they all said that no times were scheduled. So I waited a little bit, but then I decided to walk it, thinking that there actually weren’t any busses coming. After walking like 3 minutes, I saw a bus approaching. I turned around and ran trying to catch it, but I couldn’t. I’m just so mad at the CABS busses. I like them because they’re easy to understand, and that you can text to see the next arrival, but I wish it didn’t lie like that. Yeah there weren’t any times scheduled, which I guess means that the computer data system isn’t working, which I don’t know why it doesn’t just stay on. But at least they could know if a bus line is actually running and then reply that the bus is running but it is unknown when it is coming. I would like that better. At 2:30 am I don’t care how long it will be until the next bus, I just don’t want to keep waiting thinking that it’s going to come when it isn’t. And it’s also annoying with CABS is a bus will come 10 minutes before it was scheduled to come. That was one specific time, but there have been many times where I leave my dorm knowing I have 4 minutes, and then the bus already comes and goes before I get there. That’s really frustrating. So the CABS busses are nice, I’m just realizing that they are not really reliable during the evening hours.

  1. You are brave. I am always afraid I am going to end up someplace completely lost, especially in the dark. I am glad you got home safely!

  2. Yeah I learned the CABS bus routes and it was one of the best things I did. But they aren't very reliable in the evenings.

  3. It is so brave you are to wait the bus in the night, since I think it is unsafe at night. Well, the best thing is, don't go back too late in night.
