Blog 34

So I’ve changed my APA paper yet again, so it’s now about Buffy and Angel’s relationship and how their love can’t conquer all. I’m going to try really hard not my let my paper sound mushy though. But I’m looking at young relationships and why they don’t work, basically that people change over time. So I really like the idea of a satire paper, so one of the ideas I have is saying the right age to get married is at 14. I like the idea of a satire because it catches the attention of our generation with a little attitude and humor. So with a satire, it’s pretty simple, but I would highlight reasons to get married at 14 that really are reasons why the youth is dumb and think their high school relationship is going to last.
If I happened to not be in a humorous mood, I thought of a more serious paper topic. This would be answering the question whether younger or older couples are happier. I would probably take the side of the younger because I think it is more commonly believed that older couples are happier, maybe not though. But I think this topic is interesting because really which is happier? Younger couples, not married, just in high school live a stress-free life comparably. They don’t have bills to pay or the pressure to keep their job or worrying about their security. For the younger couples, it’s their parents that worry about that. But then what about the older couples? They live a stressful life worrying about kids and jobs and the future. So is “young and in love” always the best?
