Glee. I’m running out of things to talk about, so I’m watching Glee right now. It’s a re-run tonight, which is kind of annoying. I hate it when all week you’re looking forward to a new episode of a certain show, like Glee, to only find out when you sit down that it’s just a re-run. So I haven’t been a gleek all along. I don’t actually consider myself a gleek right now, but I do enjoy watching the show. I’m in band- or was at least in high school, so I have a great appreciation for music. I don’t miss band a lot, but I still do a little. I won’t ever go out for The Ohio State Marching Band because I’m not that athletic, and that’s too much work. And I might do a concert band, but I hear those are really hard to get into. I don’t think I would have too much of a problem getting into one if I tried to over the summer and kept playing, but I haven’t really practiced since last June. I play trombone, a brass instrument, and brass instruments really require a lot of muscle in the upper lip. Since I haven’t practiced since June, it will take a lot of work to come back to my level of playing, so I don’t really want to do that. I could join a more relaxed concert band, but that would be just too different from my band back home that was super serious. So I think I’ll just settle for an athletic band, besides I think it would be weird if I didn’t know how to play my fight song.
GLEEEEEE I love glee. I'm a gleek. I'm kind of glad its a rerun tonight, mainly because I don't have a TV and the people I usually watch it with are busy today and can't watch hehe. Last week's episode was soooo cute with Sam and Quinn.
ReplyDeleteI've also considered joining some sort of music program here since I've played violin since I was 6. It's hard to find time to do it in my already hectic and busy schedule though. I'm sure if you practiced again you'd be able to audition into a band though!
I was so upset when tonights episode turned out to be a rerun tonight :( Next episode is apparently a tribute to Rocky Horror Picture Film so that should be pretty exciting. And I agree with Grace, I'm sure if you practiced you would be fine trying out for any kind of band!

ReplyDeleteI used to watch that show with my some of my friends but its started to get a little weird. Being a guy I was never really a big fan of the show but it was tolerable when they contained the singing to the choir room but now it seems like they're singing every other scene. Its become too much to for me...
